Extensor Health offers a network of select highly qualified physicians (our Extensivists) from the following fields:

• Cardiology
• Neurology
• Pulmonary/Critical Care
• Nephrology
• Hospital Medicine

Typically, our Extensivists practice in the same geographic region as the hospitals that they serve. In many cases, these physicians may be familiar faces who offer outpatient clinic services to these communities. Where the regional supply of specialist physicians may be insufficient to meet the demands of the 24x7 coverage we offer, we supplement the coverage with physicians from surrounding metropolitan areas.

The use of regional physicians to support our telemedicine network is designed to be a win-win solution for the hospitals, the physicians, and the patients. Physicians develop greater confidence in the telemedicine program by, many times, having existing relationships with the physicians with whom they are now conferring on a more frequent basis via our telemedicine solution. And, continuity of care is readily achieved in cases where patients must be transferred.

Our goal is to ensure that our turnkey telemedicine solution meets the needs of the hospitals that we serve and our Extensivists. This includes both the geographic areas that we operate in as well as the specialties that we offer. If a hospital chooses to participate in Extensor Health’s telemedicine network and we do not have an existing panel of physicians in that region, we will work to rapidly build a network to support that facility. Additionally, if a hospital has a strong desire for a specialty that is not one of our primary offerings, we build a panel to meet its needs.
